The LKA Hombu Dojo was packed on Monday 4th July for the visit of our good friend Alan Campbell 6th Dan, Chairman of the JKS in England.  The main theme for Alan’s instruction for the evening was relaxation and the generation of power from the hips.  Alan’s relaxed and humorous way of instructing put everyone at ease and led to a most enjoyable evening.  Despite the very warm conditions, the 2 hour session flew by.

The course with Alan followed only a week after Nick Heald and Matt Price’s course in Dunfermline for JKS Scotland.  In these days when politics can often make Karate groups xenophobic, it is very refreshing to see that groups from different associations can co-operate and get on so well.

We would like to thank Alan for visiting us in Leeds and look forward to working with him again in the future.
