Training course with Sensei Frank Brennan 7th Dan

On Wednesday 3rd February the LKA held a course at the Hombu Dojo with Sensei Frank Brennan 7th Dan.  Despite the poor weather conditions (lots of snow), there was a 40 strong class for Sensei to teach.  The class was predominantly partner work with varied counters performed against your opponent.  Kicks, strikes and punches were used in differing combinations against varying attacks.

The class finished with the Kata, everyone split up into groups dependent upon grade to run through a different Kata. 

All in all it was an excellent course from one of Britains finest exponents of Shotokan Karate.  We would hope to repeat this event again at some point in the future.
